Applying for License

Per the South Carolina Real Estate Commission: “Applications are processed in the order received and one must allow normal processing times (7 business days). Criminal and disciplinary history or application deficiencies will require additional time.”

“South Carolina State Government offices are closed on December 23rd – December 27th in observance of Christmas Holidays.”

 

To apply for a South Carolina Real Estate License, all applicants must meet the following education criteria: 

  • Completed the 60-hour Unit I – First Year Sales course within the last five years.

  • Completed the 30-hour Unit II – Advanced Real Estate Principles course.

 

Steps to Apply for License: 

  1. Submit your Unit I and Unit II transcripts and completion certificates to the South Carolina Real Estate Commission.

  2. Complete the form on the following link: http://www.llr.state.sc.us/POL/REC/RECPDF/Verification_of_Lawful_Presence.pdf

  3. Upload a copy of your criminal background report from https://srandi.com/Employment/AuthForm.aspx

  4. Complete the remaining online application of the following link: http://www.llr.state.sc.us/POL/REC/index.asp?file=Instructions.htm
